Invert, always invert.
The 18th century German mathematician Carl Jacobi is credited with introducing the inversion approach to thinking. Today, a couple of centuries later, the 99-year old Charlie Munger continues to remain an ardent preacher of this mental model.
Turns out, it’s counterintuitive to think about the opposite of what you want. But as it also turns out, it’s particularly useful.

Want to succeed? Figure out how to avoid failure.
And so on. You get the drift. Inversion is an extremely powerful mental model. And that’s pretty much the note and tone of this quarter.
